Working with me will make you better aware of, and able to influence, your interpersonal habits and those of other. This will make you more skillful, resilient and at ease in interpersonal challenges, including acting appropriately in conflict prone situations without undue stress. Relating better to yourself will lead to relating better to colleagues, subordinates superiors, customers and vendors. As you change you - and by extension your organization - more consistently achieve desired results working with others. That is good for you and good for business. And that is why I call it agile communication.


Why I call it 'agile' communication:


The first value in the Agile Manifesto is “valueing individuals and interactions over processes and tools.” Organizations and individuals are continuously interacting through continuously communicating. That makes professionalizing and optimizing communication comfort and ability critical. This aspect of Agility is not so much about ‘doing agile’ (such methods as Scrum, Kanban ...etc.) as it is about ‘BEING AGILE'. Being agile is about nimbly and flexibly processing and responding to volatile, complex and often ambiguous situations and people: one conversation and one e-mail at a time. That means that to be agile, communication must be agile.

Language is the medium of communication. Being comfortable in and being understood in this medium are critical to achieving your desired outcomes. Solidifying and expanding this comfort with me has the double benefit of improving English and inspiring agile thinking and acting about communication.

For me language training is about getting you to do what you need to do to improve, empower your self-confidence, and easily move towards fluency. I think of this as a journey. A journey of exploring using the words and making the sentences you need to say what you want to say - in ways that make sense to you. To do this my first job is to stimulate a new way of looking at and thinking about language. This means transforming your relationship to language and language learning so that you learn easily and enjoy it. On this journey into language you will learn what you need from the inside out; starting from your needs to the language technology available to do that. This means that the learning process starts with you in your lived professional and personal world. I will pick you up where you are and empower you at eye-level instead of imprisoning you in abstract rules and regulations.

The way I train means that people at different starting ability levels can participate together (school English is minimum requirement). This avoids the level-ghettoizing locking people into same level echo chambers. It allows the lower level participants to learn from the higher level ones and for the higher level ones to strengthen their ability by helping the lower level participants. The added benefit: it enables larger groups (12 max.) and, thereby, easier organization and scheduling.
